She gave Philip Schofield a good telling off for being 'ageist' live on This Morning TV sofa, has been interviewed by many of the red top tabloids about OAPs using sex toys...and has even sparked a new career in public speaking... All because she learnt how to blog in her 80s.
In the final episode of Discover Brightlife's podcast series, Joyce and I run through the unexpected bliss ageing can offer, why 'youngsters' should use the older generation as a great learning resource, and we discuss something she calls 'unthinking ageism'.
It's a positive, uplifting end to a great series documenting the lessons learnt and legacy The National Lottery funded Ageing Better programmes will leave behind as their 5 year projects come to a close. Plenty of lessons in how to overcome social isolation and loneliness in the over 50s.
